Unable to add new users correctly

I'm trying to add users to my machine under Budgie but after I add a new user and then restart it is not available in either the login screen or the "Users" setting?

However, when I visit my /home directory I can see the users there...

I have my system setup as follows:

/ is installed to an NVMe drive (partitioned with a Windows install)
/home is installed on it's own SSD

I'm not sure if I've set it up wrong or what, but there was nothing done differently in terms of the installation process. I did have to reset my machine recently and mapped home to /home as it had users already on there - not sure if that does anything?

Software/OS Versions:
Solus 4.3 Fortitude
GNOME 41.1

Do you have the Unblock tab?

If so, a window with the root password will pop up.
You can add a user with the command sudo gnome-control-center

You can add manually in the terminal. For example like here

Yeah, I've also tried with sudo gnome-control-center to see if that happened and still nothing 🙁

I might archive my /home directory on another drive and just re-install but worried that I've found a possible bug? Would rather look at fixing it for future users that may stumble upon this issue.

Hmm .. I don't have this bug and I have Budgie 10.5 and Gnome 41

I wonder if I have this due to the fact that I re-installed with the home directories already being there... 🙁

Is there a log I can watch to try to debug this issue?
