I'm mentioned here before that I use tv.youtube.com for streaming content to my TV, and that I've needed to use Opera or Firefox on the media computer in order to be able to stream local stations. YouTube TV needs to be able to query geolocation from the browser in order to know which set of local stations to stream to me. I use Vivaldi for everything else, including watching non-local channels on YouTube TV.
From time to time I've found that Vivaldi would also work for streaming the local stations, since I have its geolocation option set to "allow" in the website settings. But after a short while (perhaps after the next update) that would stop working, and I'd need to reinstall a second browser to get local station access again.
After yesterday's update, I was pleased to find that it's again working fine on Vivaldi! So I was able to remove Firefox once more (and in doing so considerably reduce the time required to backup that computer). Once again Vivaldi is the only browser I need on the media machine, or any of my other computers.
So if you also prefer Vivaldi, and happen to stream TV content with YouTube TV, you might want to give it another try with Vivaldi. I'm hoping that doesn't stop working again after the next update!
