How do I apply a patch to a package in my local repo?

Hi Folks,

Backstory..
I have a truly bu*&%$ed iPad. Not to worry! I had actually ordered a new one. But it was a few weeks away so...
I decided to try to fix it. No Joy through the proper fix via a macbook. Being a tinkerer and Linux fan I found an application called idevicerestore! Over a few days I managed to package it and its missing dependencies. Never tried packaging before and it worked!! I successfully updated an iphone 6 with it.

However, my iPad is so sc"£%ed that idevicerestore throws an error. I found the same error on the Github help and a description of how to apply a patch to idevicerestore to hopefully help fix it.

Only thing is, how do I apply the patch.txt file via the package.yml to generate an updated .eopkg file?

I looked at the Package.yml section in the help centre which says there are keys which instruct for a patch to be applied but I'm not sure how to do it.

any help would be much appreciated.

vyzle You need to have the patch in files directory of the package and refer to it using the %patch macro in the setup section of the package file. You can take a look at the openocd package as an exemple, it's a very simple package file that apply a patch. https://dev.getsol.us/source/openocd/
