What c++ compiler does Solus use to build packages?

I noticed that llvm-clang compiler runs 25% faster if I install it from solus repo, than downloading binaries from the llvm website.
It also runs fast, when I boot into Ubuntu and chroot to my Solus partition.
I'm wondered, what compiler and special flags does the Solus team use to build faster binary packages?

Version 86 has added building with PGO and other optimizations which is super cool.

My main reason for using Solus is fast compilation.
Can I ask, why did you remove PGO from llvm-clang?

archee There was some issues with some of llvm/clang's static binaries being borked when built with PGO. We couldn't build the ldc package with the PGO'd clang for example.

I'm still not sure the reasoning behind why exactly but it is something I want to reenable in the future. However, it's a huge time investment compiling llvm generally.

Great work! I saw you had a PGO-ed version of Clang-13 too. Is there a way to download binaries of version 93?

I will try it again for LLVM 14. I disabled it to diagnose another issue but it turned out to be a red herring.
