I spent a couple days searching through related websites as well as this forum, but so far I am not having any luck finding a fix for some Chinese characters not displaying in browsers, word processors, and spreadsheets. An example is found in Wiktionary when searching for 亂.
The first entry under the vertical menu is:
Han character
亂 (radical 5, 乙+12, 13 strokes, cangjie input 月月山 (BBU), four-corner 22210, composition ⿰𤔔乚)
The two radicals needing displayed are 𤔔乚. Gnumeric displays the first radical as a box with the numbers 024514 inside.
The "composition" list ought to show the two Chinese radials, but only the one on the right is shown in Firefox, Vivaldi does not show either of the radicals, and Gnumeric also does not show the first radical.
I have installed several different CJK TC fonts, but no success.
At present I am leaning towards the suspicion that the lack of display might be something connected with the UTF-8 settings, but I do not yet have knowledge of how Solus might set multiple locales and such.
I am likely not seeing the obvious (I am very skilled at doing that 😉 ), so I am open to any suggestion of what might work.
Thank you.
