Note that I am trying to set up two monitors to work properly for a standard user (not an administrator), the first HDMI monitor connected between the NVIDIA GK107 [GeForce GT 740] PC graphics card with AOC desktop monitor, and the second VGA monitor connected between the same graphics card and the BenQ projector.
There was a minor error in the file. However, even after this minor correction, it does not work to run the expected configuration on a physical computer. My friend checked that it was better to use /etc/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-monitor.conf, but then remove ~/.config/monitor.xml so that the two monitors do not fight for priority and position against each other.
This is not a good solution because ~/.config/monitor.xml is created again when you manually set the monitors configuration in the Solus system panel. In this situation, the settings in /etc/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-monitor.conf are not executed.
Further help is welcome.
I've read the thread about the upcoming changes in Budgie 11, but today I would like good dual monitor support in an unchanging hardware configuration (not hot plug).
Thanks to the whole Solus team for their hard work, as I believe the system is largely stable.
