My laptop has a weird quirk. When I adjust the screen brightness using the keyboard shortcut, the input gets randomly repeated every few minutes up half an hour, rendering not usable, as the brightness keeps changing by itself. I posted about that last year, then decided it wasn't worth investigating further for a small issue like this.
I settled on putting power setting shorcut in the taskbar to quickly open the appropriate gnome setting tab and adjust the birghtness from there. But since last update, the brightness disappeared from power tab and I couldn't find it elsewhere. Is this a bug or a new gnome reducing feature ? And more importantly, is there another way I could change the brightness in a friendly way ?
