jibel If you don't want to replace any of the other Operating Systems already installed on your HDD, you will need to manually create a partition for solus, since you are using gnome you will need to use gparted
, it is already installed on your live-media:
- Launch it before the installer and create a new ext4 partition for solus, if you don't have free space, you'll need another HDD or create free space removing/resizing another partition, resizing is dangerous if you are not using
LVM
;
- It has to be more than 10GiB in size, and if you are an advanced user, you can create another partition for your
/home
or/and Swap
;
- After creating the partition, you'll be able to install it without disrupting another O.S. installed;
- You'll need to select the bootloader on installer, you probably already has one since you have ubuntu installed, just select it, Bootloader is not ext4, it is FAT, you'll see it.
