Everything Apple. Providing support for any of their products is a huge headache. Just had to deal with their bizarre "design choices" again today. The most overly complex, asinine, vendor lock-in PoS in existence that must have Microsoft salivating at their audacity.
My mother tells me that her phone does not work, so I go look at it. The phone says "connect to itunes". Why? Does not say, just will not let you do anything until you do. She has never connected it to a computer before, she uses her phone purely for calls and does not use Windows, but rather Solus like a reasonable person. 😛
So installed Windows to a spare ssd, just so I could install itunes and connect the phone (wasn't going to mess around with a VM or wine and potentially get other issues). Soon as I connect it to the machine running itunes the phone unlocks and lets her use it again. No forced updates, no previously trusted devices or itunes login to authorise yada yada yada.
So not only do they expect you to own and use a completely unrelated device in order to continue using your phone. But they required it for no reason what so ever. This is a choice someone at Apple made...
