Budgie Display Crashes

I have this strange issue with the Budgie desktop. The display crashes and I am unable to press F5 to go into the terminal, the only way back is to hold the power button until it boots up. I am using an external monitor via HDMI.

Laptop: HP Pavilion - 15z-cw000 CTO
Graphics: AMD Raven Ridge [Radeon Vega Series / Radeon Vega Mobile Series], Driver: amdgpu
Monitor: AOC 27" IPS 27B2H
Kernel: 5.13.12-193.current

You mean ctrl+F5 don't you? Or try some other F numbers. But that's inconsequential because you said you have terminal access when you reboot.
If you have terminal access you are halfway to fixing in most cases.

The monitor goes on power save mode when it loses the connection. I open the laptop's lid, and the screen has no video.

I have not had the issue upon the latest update.
