Boggle247 Yes I have tested it, and I use it every week when I backup my music, photos, and other documents each week before the Friday Sync. Even though GRSYNC may or may not be actively still maintained, the backend is rsync, which is still very much in active development (as recent as Jan 2019), so I wouldn't worry about it. I do not experience bugs, errors, or crashes, it just works and it works well and it works fast! Also, Solus is a curated linux distro, so all the apps in Software Center do undergo testing, and if they don't work or they are too old, they won't be used (that's my simple explanation of it anyways).
Now in terms of scheduling, I'm assuming you want GRSYNC to automatically run at a set time? For that I am not sure, I personally manually do it, but it never takes me long, literally two-three clicks and I'm all backed up. I don't know if this will help much, but this gives a decent overview of GRSYNC HERE
I wish I could be more help, but that is the limit of my experience so far. Good luck and if all else fails, Google it!
