Although I no longer use Firefox or Brave or Opera browsers on computers here since I learned about Vivaldi, I can't seem to get rid of their leftovers. I've tried eopkg rm --purge
, but that doesn't work because the browsers themselves are no longer installed, and eopkg
just tells me that. And eopkg rmo
doesn't help, either.
The problem I'm trying to solve has to do with backups. They take forever, and waste a lot of storage space, because they back up the huge caches for these nonexistent browsers. I've found Brave in my ~/.cache directory and eliminated it, but not Firefox, and apparently that one has stuff in krunner
that I can't delete using the file manager.
If these simply can't be removed, I'll just learn to deal with it, but if anyone has an idea I haven't tried yet, please don't keep it to yourself!
