The repository is our centralized location that houses all the packages (CLI or GUI software, libraries, etc.). It isn't something you need to open, it's used by the package manager.
You can use either eopkg (see this Help Center doc) or the Software Center. OBS Studio is called obs-studio in the repository. Both eopkg and the Software Center have search capabilities.
