Create keyboard shortcuts using terminal

I was making a shell script, and I needed to create a shortcut key like:
ctrl + alt + t = gnome-terminal
I wonder how to implement it in a shell script

If you just want to create custom shortcut just go to settings > keyboard > customize shortcuts > custom shortcuts and configure in following manner:

niobleoum I would do it manually, but I needed to do so using a shell script.
I ended up cheating a bit, by runing a python script from the shell script, which emulates your keyboard. I used tab keys for navigation.
Btw, I asked the control-center/settings dev to make something like gnome-control-center keyboard/shortcuts. Currently we can only do gnome-control-center keyboard.
