Automatically connects to self/hotspot? instead of wifi

Whenever solus starts, it automatically connects to the local system name instead of my wifi - i've tried deleting the connection with nmcli and manually from /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections but it shows up over and over again every boot

spacekebab Turns out I already had a Budgie DE in a VM. Just type network in the launcher and choose Advanced Network Configuration. You can set connection priority there.

If you're using the Plasma version, and assuming your wifi is working correctly, you can open network settings from the taskbar and change the connection priority of your adapters. I would assume Budgie and the other flavors can be configured similarly. If you cannot find it let me know and I'd be happy to set it up in a VM and screenshot it once I find it.

Setting the priority (and disabling 'auto connect' on the automatically created "Wi-Fi connection 2") did it! Thank you.
