Help on how to install Autofirma

Hi there,

I would like to know if there is anyway to install Autofirma. It's a Spanish Gov app for digital certification.

They do have Autofirma for Linux but it's only .deb or .rpm.

Any help or insight on how to get it working would be highly appreciated as it's my only problem for not running Solus as daily driver.

This looks like it will allow you to sign things without needing the app, provided you already have the cert.
Looks a better option than trying to use binaries complied for a different system.
Alternativly theres a link there to the source code too.

Thanks for the replay. You do need the app while using the cert for some websites.

I cracked open the deb zip for giggles...all of the files originate from two targz packages. the third file is a 4 byte debian-binary. Is it possible you do not need it? There is also the AutoFirma binary file in a folder alone. There's script files too.
In the text files I see no readme or stuff on compiling.
I have no idea what I would do, just breaking a package open to look inside🙂.
But maybe someone can?

You first need to install java. (run sudo eopkg it openjdk-11 If you run into any error, look at: https://discuss.getsol.us/d/6413-help-with-javajar-files/9)
Now, extract the binaries of the file. (you can download the following zip file here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/151DJ1zGEqduIlLGjsX__wrBeoqabC8cX/view?usp=sharing. if you don't trust me, then you can extract the .deb file, and follow along)
Next, unzip the file, now run the terminal and run: java -jar ~/Downloads/firma/usr/lib/AutoFirma/AutoFirma.jar
I'm not really sure if it runs the thing you asked, because I'm not spanish.

@[deleted] if you run at any error when extracting .deb file, then you have to install binutils package.
