Terminal Icons doesn't work

Hello, i got a problem with terminal icons. It's just empty space. I'm using "Alacritty" terminal and Nerd Font compatible font like "Fira Code" but still have this issue no matter what terminal or font i'm using. I'm using ZSH and it's "Starship" theme.

I use Alacritty with a NerdFont to see folder icons via lsd and they appear for me. You seem like someone who knows what they're doing but here's two things that I had to troubleshoot:

the font name in the alacritty.yml needs to be spelled the exact way it appears in the fc-list output. The Fira Code Nerd Font I have, for example, is 'FiraCode NF'
The formatting of the alacritty.yml is very nitpicky so need to be sure all the right lines are uncommented and properly aligned for the font to take effect
