brent WetGeek You are welcome, glad you got updated. Probably one of the most popular apps in America (at least) so I'm glad they maintain it regularly. PS--why something needs a reboot after installing or does not need a reboot after installing remains one of those unexplainable things---ya just know when you got to do it.
***It's seems to have self-solved about half the posts in this forum including my own problems🙂!
Not to be contrarian (seriously.. I'm not that kind of a person!!!) but from my personal experience Whereby is, by far, the best platform to video conference on. Only the person who sets up the room needs an account. That gives you a url with your room name such as https://whereby.com/brent
and then you gave give anyone else that url and all they need to do is enter the web address and go and give a Display name and you guys are video conferencing.
It is the easiest tool I've ever found to share your screen. I work with people across the technological idiocy divide.. some are quite good with tech (and I don't want them to have access to anything to do with TeamViewer) and others don't know which browser they are using.
It is a simple step to be able to get them to share their screen with me so I can see whatever they are trying to show me. On the bottom there is a bar that says SHARE SCREEN.. that gives you the option to share the entire screen, or just one application screen, or even a tab running in a browser.
If you turn on the integrations, you can share a Youtube video.. this would enable the video to be started by you, but paused by someone else, from the Whereby screen.
I don't pay for Whereby. I don't have anything to do with their project.. I don't even know if they are open source. But it has saved me so much trouble over the last year that when someone says Skype/Zoom/Teamviewer that my first response is now a resounding, "No.", followed by a link to a Whereby room.
