Please help verify a bug (fix) for Budgie

Dear Budgie users, I kindly ask for your feedback.

Some time ago I reported this bug, which should have been fixed by this patch, thanks to the work of @guillotjulien!

The problem

Basically, there are two issues: (1) Clicking on some favorited applications opens them in a second, unneccessary icon, while the favorited icon just sits there, blinks and then becomes inactive again. (2) Depending on the way the icon was added to the favorites, clicking an open instance either minimizes the one active window or spawns new windows.

The question
Unfortunately, the bug still persists for me! But before I go and raise the thread from the (un)dead on Github, I wanted to know if any of you are still able to recreate this issue on your Budgie desktop?

szb There hasn't been a new release of Budgie yet, and the last release was made before this issue was fixed. If it's a critical problem for you, you can build Budgie yourself; other than that, just have to wait for a new release, or for Josh to be really nice and update the Solus package to the current commit without a release. 🙂

Don't necro the issue. It isn't going to help in your case. As @EbonJaeger elaborated to, it has already been fixed and merged into master. You can build Budgie yourself, or you can wait until I build against HEAD locally, perform validation, and am assured of no regressions before I update our package. This wasn't something I was going to do right before a release, otherwise we would end up risking the introduction of regressions in a release ISO. Not saying that the work will introduce regressions, but if I can avoid 100% of the risk then I will.

My apologies, I should have looked more closely at the actual package upgrades from the latest release. I just saw the merge on Github from a couple weeks ago and therefore assumed the fix had made it into the latest ISO.
