Davidb I didn't want to step in because people are already trying to help you, but I'm not going to tolerate this kind of attitude.
Other users are more than capable of helping you collect the necessary information to get help. Regular contributors like @EbonJaeger even moreso because they have their finger on the pulse of development and quite a bit of technical experience working on Solus. So, there's absolutely no need for attitude when they ask for information hoping to help you out.
Davidb Are you actually from Solus.
I am. Technical Lead even. He's a regular contributor.
Davidb I ask because you you just don't even seem to be aware what the last update updated.
You have a massively flawed premise here. We have no idea what is actually installed on your system. You haven't said what Edition you installed, so we don't know what packages were added then. We don't know what packages you added or removed after that. We also don't know if you are on the Unstable or Stable (Shannon) repository, even if we might be tempted to assume it's the latter. And of course we also have no idea how long it has been since your last update, meaning it could be any number of syncs ago that we'd have to go back through. Hell, I am the Technical Lead of Solus and beyond knowing what was in the last few syncs, I can't even help you until you provide that information.
Without any of this information, we can't start giving you ideas of what to looks for. The best we can do is tell you to:
- Provide us with the package list from the last update
- Ask you to run
sudo eopkg check
to look for broken packages
Now, if you could please calm down, be respectful, and provide the information that we have requested, I'm sure one of these fine folks will be able to help sort you out.
Cheers.
