Personally I'm very happy with my Lenovo T14s with a Ryzen 4750. It has 32 GB of RAM. Though the CPU is low power it serves much better than my previous Notebook with a Xeon high power CPU. Until now, I never had the need for more CPU Power.
If I would buy a new one I would look at the following brands: Tuxedo, Slimbook, System76 and Lenovo. Probably I would buy a new Lenovo T14s model with a Ryzen 5000 series processor. But also the 8 Core Intel Tiger Lake Notebook are very interesting.
But what's certain, I would never ever buy a Notebook with an old 14nm CPU from Intel again. The upgrade to AMD was huge for me. Much smaller, compacter more portable Laptop while being much faster for my usage at the same time.
