Scanner not found M2675FN

Hello,

I have a printer and scanner from Samsung (M2675FN). I have installed the driver from Samsung. Print is ok, but I can not start a scan. scanner is not recognized.

I use KDE an skanlite

tgorzka That driver you talk about is a 2-in-1 (print and scan) so it sounds like you can't get solus to talk to it or vice versa...the reason I mention this is because the Samsung driver is at the HP site (did somebody buy somebody?). It's a linux-compatible driver.
So now I'm thinking repo packages?
sane-backends
hplip-drivers (hail mary)
gscan2pdf
libksane
simple-scan (long shot)

How does one get a linux-compatible scanner driver to talk to a linux OS?
Or under what circumstance could they not talk?
It's a tarball bundle. Could it be incorrectly installed? Something not in a folder where something else needs to look for it?
2 cents and the end of my knowledge here asfaik.

the scanner driver runs under debian or ubuntu or other distributions without any problems. so something is different in Solus

I went back to your site and it listed all the Linux Operating systems the 2-in-1 driver is compatible with.
Solus is not on this list.

If I had dug a little deeper I would only have said this to you in hindsight:
It's not compatible with solus so go to Dev Tracker above and select the Request a Package button and read instructions. OR find a thread at dev tracker called T83 and request it there...but I think that's more about print driver packages. unsure.
Either way, I believe they will help you.
