Making Logitech K290 wired Keyboard work in Solus.
I've had this working for 'years', and there's the problem - I can't remember what was done to make that happen and I'm doing a scratch build following a crash:-(
Nope - Solus did NOT fail.
Anyhow, the USB Id for the thing is 046d-c31f.
I'm now worried about the trick of reversing the Fn key thing - I prefer the standard operating mode.
Any assistance appreciated.

Do you want F-keys work by default?
When did they work last time, on what OS? Windows?
There is a Logitech tool (windows only) for keyboards/mauses but it useless if keyboard doesn't have internal memory...
Try maybe piper (in the Software Center) and solaar (in the Software Center)

Other option is remapping tool, but I don't know which one...
BTW I have Logitech wireless keyboard, F-keys work via Fn key, I hate that.

Nice thoughts, thanks - I need the Fn keys to work as normal - ie Multimedia etc as prime, "Blue" speshul key to enable the usual Fn keys 1 to 12. I can't find a layout in the KB hardware to match this one.
Last op system was Solus 4, but rolling release has taken me along to the point I don't remember what I did to get the KB working as intended.
It's been a busy decade or so...
Remapping isn't needed really - I had it working properly but that didn't survive the reload. I'm running the Mate desktop - maybe if I load up Budgie and/or KDE and/or Gnome the machine may well borrow something that fixed the problem - but that's a guess I don't really want to make at the moment- cause while I'm a MateMate I had the others loaded when the KB worked properly.
Worser - My Suspend (Bastard brother of F12 ) key won't work, and I used that a lot.
Wonderful to belt that key, get up and walk away. I miss that.
