This may be either a bug in GNOME or Solus or else you must've messed up with your with your VirtualBox setup
Same issue with Solus Gnome installed in VirtualBox at my work PC with Windows.
algent also mine is VirtualBox on a Windows machine
Here's what is should be:
Version: Other Linux (64-bit)
Other Linux (64-bit)
Base memory: (at least 2048 MB)
Video memory: (at least 80 MB for it to be smooth)
@acuf, does it work?
aryan I upgrade video memory from 16Mb to 128Mb but still it don't works
4 Gb system memory
128 Mb video memory
acuf Reinstalled and still have crashes and it is not specific to Gnome, it happens also with Budgie.
algent For me, another vm on VirtualBox with Solus Budgie works fine, no crashs at all
Is this where I remind people that Solus is designed for bare-metal installation and not virtualized environments? It isn't something we target or care that much about.
JoshStrobl message received loud and clear 😃
acuf you can try to install Solus on a 2nd drive (or spare PC) if you have one 😉
Edit: maybe try to disable 3D Acceleration and change Graphics Controller 🤷♂️
But how disabling 3D acceleration should help? I think i`s a problem with CPU Threads
One I worked with employee monitoring software and my Gnome crashed with a similar error screen. But if i use only one of them at time, they work well. And an issue was in CPU threads.
