Always have problems when power failure

I always get put to the emergency mode after I start my computer after a power failure. And always the solution to this is to run fsck -fy /dev/SolusSystem/Root and that fixes the problem. But today another power failure happened and when I ran that command again it ran but it was not finishing. I waited for 2 to 3 hours but still it was not finishing its check and repair. I have everything on my system backed up so I didn't lose any important files and I am gonna do a clean install now. Can you tell me how can I avoid this from happening again. I think the problem is the ext4 partition.

I have UPS on my desktop computer (that is why it never have these problems when power failure happens), but this problem happens on my laptop. And I think it would not be convenient to have this for a laptop. So for a laptop, how can I prevent this (my laptop's batteries always runs out and that's why I mainly use my laptop most of the time while plugged in). So getting a better battery for my laptop would be the solution 🤔 . Maybe. But atleast is there any solution from the software side? Just curious.

So you unplug the battery from the laptop? Why?

do not unplug the battery/ replace dead battery
use the same UPS for your laptop

No I mean that the battery is so old that it cannot sustain itself for much long after a power failure. Will get a new battery tomorrow 😀
