[Problem] Unstable work at Solus (may 2021)

After an update a few weeks ago, the stability of the system has severely deteriorated. This includes the following problems:

(The most frequent) When opening several programs or windows of the same program, spontaneous session termination may occur. Another option (more likely): restarting the desktop environment. The result of this item is a screen for entering the user name and password.

Repeatability: random. When opening the same applications, the bug may or may not happen at all.

If you quickly change the scale of the text on a page (e.g. in a pdf-document), the application will terminate.

Repeatability: regular.

The system may spontaneously crash when performing any operation. Most common when trying to check for updates in the Software Center. The combination of keys Ctrl + Alt + F1 does not lead to any result.

Repeatability: random.

In the current situation it is almost impossible to work in the system. It seems necessary for updates to be more stable, or at least to have version rollbacks when significant bugs appear.

While I did not encounter this instability you described, I feel like bugs became more noticeable. By this, I mean the number of bugs as well as the duration of their existence. The annoying crashes of Evince (or Poppler) and the graphical issues of MPV (potentially caused by Mutter) for example aren’t fresh as the morning dew.

While I appreciate to have access to current packages, for a desktop system designated for a cohesive home computing experience with sane defaults, stability is also a desirable quality. Therefore, it might be indeed reasonable to follow a more conservative way when updating packages. Even more so, if the available man power and the fact that most bugs are caused upstream are taken into account. After all, curated updates are meant to prevent this kind of issues.

I think i may have a similar problem.
From time to time my system will just completely lock up and require a reset. Its been happening one to two times a day

I'm not sure if its related to the Gnome 40 upgrade or from the fact that i started to use Blender (Installed from the Solus Repo) around the same time.

There is no definite set of steps i can find to reproduce it. Once it locked up while watching a youtube video (Using firefox). A few times i would turn my screen off and walk away. When i returned the system would be locked up.
Yesterday it locked up around the time I plugged in a Wacom tablet. But doing it again now i can plug and unplug it fine.

I am trying to narrow it down by not using Blender today and seeing if it still locks up.
I didn't see anything in the log but my log searching skills are also quite limited. If anyone has a good useful command for getting logs then let me know. I'll see if anything more useful pops up if I do get another lock.

I'm using Solus Budgie.
Specs: Ryzen 5 1500X
16GB DDR4 2933MHz ram
Vega 64 Nitro+ (Stock settings)

Edit: Forgot to add: My system is fully up to date as of last Friday. I also checked for broken packages but it was all clear.

I guess it's caused by the update to gnome 40.I have the se bug as Neumie said with pdf documents, until gnome fix their bugs ...., btw, budgie is fine, nothing to complain about.
