vinoman Just did an update and now its gnome 40 with no panel at the bottom or any where. why was this done and how do I get the panel to show up?
vinoman evert I did, thats not what is wrong. Where are the controls to put the panel at the bottom or left side? nothing in settings.
Junglist It's explained in the blog post what happened to dash to dock: https://getsol.us/2021/04/27/fashionable-gnome-forty/ Dash to Dock is temporarily deprecated from the Solus repositories and is no longer enabled by default via our desktop branding. We will reintroduce Dash-to-Dock support when the current merge request for GNOME 40 support, which introduces some instability and is “very much WIP” (exact quote), is merged in and a release is tagged around it.
njakes https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/2542/floating-dock/ I'm sure this would work until Dash to Dock and Dash to Panel are updated or forked.
