Thanks for all the information. I've got a couple of machines to migrate back to Budgie first, but you've definitely got me intrigued. This weekend is full of sports, too, but I'll get around to trying i3 Real Soon Now.
In fact, it sounds like I could skip the VM and just install i3 on a machine that has Budgie already. I'm getting the idea that it wouldn't actually interfere with the DE in any way, and if I didn't end up loving it, I could simply log into Budgie again and eopkg rm
the i3 package. Do you see any problem with that?
