Hi there!
I think recently something has changed in the way the bluetooth icon in my laptop's panel is being displayed or not displayed and I would like to understand it and, if possible, have it fixed:
Until recently the bluetooth icon was always visible no matter if bluetooth was turned on or off.
When it was ON it was displayed white, when it was OFF the icon was displayed grayed out but still there, still visible.
I could click on it and enter the bluetooth settings or just turn on/off air plane mode.
I cannot do that anymore and I find it annoying:
On my laptop (Thinkpad T480, Solus Budgie) the F10 key also works as an on/off for bluetooth. Until recently I could hit it and thereby turn bluetooth on or off, the icon in the panel would show the current state as described above.
Now when I hit F10 and bluetooth has been ON the bluetooth icon just disappears from the panel. That wouldn't be too bad could I bring it back to the panel by, for example, hitting F10 again. But I cannot: The icon has vanished and wouldn't reappear.
I have to go into Solus' settings and turn bluetooth back on for the icon to reappear in the panel.
Also: I cannot click the icon to select air plane mode (to turn bluetooth off) without the icon disappearing completely so that I have no access to it without having to enter the settings again.
Was that changed on purpose some time ago?
Could that "feature" be changed to the bluetooth icon staying in the panel and showing the current bluetooth state and us users actually being able to use it?
