New AMD GPU black screen

I replaced my Nvidia GPU with an AMD RX 5500 XT. The PC boots into a black screen. Can get to the terminal login with a shortcut.
Using startx gives an error, unable to connect to X server.

Any ideas on getting the gui back up?

tadcan you should be able to hop into TTY, if I have to guess you still have the nvidia drivers installed which will cause issues, so you need to uninstall the,, if you have anything inside /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d with nvidia conf files needs to be removed as well

Girtablulu Thought I posted that it was solved, uninstalled the Nvidia drivers and was able to login. I'll have a look at the conf file now.
Edit. There is just a keyboard file.
