HP - printer has disappeared and can no longer be added

Hello,
I have a HP Envy 5032 printer that since one of the last updates can no longer be operated.
In the settings dialog to add a printer it appears but when installing only appears that the printer could not be added.
All the necessary things are installed:

From Help Center

First of all performa a full system update sudo eopkg up (or via the Software Center). Then validate that packages are installed correctly and aren’t missing files: (run this once, it will take some time and may not show much output)

sudo eopkg check | grep Broken | awk '{print $4}' | xargs sudo eopkg it --reinstall

Then reboot the system to make sure the issue still persists on a clean system.

You hit 'add.' New Printer/Select Device dialogue launches. Solus sees it in the left column. You hit 'forward.' And nothing happens?
You obviously have to have admin privileges to get this far so not a permissions thing I think.
So what happens? Nothing? It's not added as detected in the original print dialogue box?
Just a maddening loop?
That's a weird one.
I solved this with a reboot once, but you mentioned it.
Crappy usb port?
You can try rolling back (eopkg history etc) to before the update.

I couldn't imagine what in the updates would have kicked your printer out unless it was tied to something deprecated?
In the meantime take kuki 's advice.

EDIT: "etc" means a rollback number; see eopkg --help for precise rollback command, then eopkg history for specific rollback target).
