MarioR Hello to everyone. After a reinstallation of Plasma if I try to open the Preferences from the menu, appears this message: but even if I do that, nothing changes. What should I do? Thanks.
Girtablulu MarioR the base installed was done with the Plasma ISO? And why do you have to reinstall your DE from terminal?
MarioR Of course it was done with the iso. I had to reinstall plasma because after I deleted the baloo package to install another search application, I was no more able to boot. Now what should I do to resolve the problem with ibus?
Girtablulu why do you try uninstalling baloo and not just deactivating? you wouldn't have to reinstall but just rolling back, via eopkg hs -t <history number> can you please run sudo eopkg it --reinstall elisa khotkeys plasma-desktop plasma-browser-integration kde-cli-tools gwenview baloo-widgets powerdevil dolphin systemsettings plasma-workspace baloo to get really everything back. Did you install anything additionally? Because that error tells you to add these env to your .bashrc inside your userfolder and relog
MarioR Girtablulu I ran what you told me but persists the same error 🙁 In addition I have installed only catfish
Girtablulu MarioR can you please run sudo eopkg it --reinstall ibus because all of these should be shipped with this package
MarioR First it opens the same window that appears when I try to open Preferences then it gives me this message
Girtablulu MarioR I tried a VM with removing baloo but by I just rolled back and everything is working flawlessly. gonna need to have a deeper look what exactly you broke there but with which tracker did you try to replace baloo?
MarioR I found that this user had a problem similar to mine, but I didn't understand how he fixed it https://discuss.getsol.us/d/4492-plasma-unable-to-start-ibus-daemon-automatically
