Problem shutting down.

Hi!!

I rescued my old 2008 MacBook Pro and did install macOS Catalina (almost latest) and Solus latest, both installed on their own SSD. Until I get an adapter to put both SSD inside I use one, take it off and place the other inside, just for test. Solus is amazingly fast on this 'Obsolete' status MacBook Pro. Windows installer failed to even boot 😁

After install Solus booted incredibly fast, shutdown even faster, all fine. But next two times I got this trying to shutdown the computer:

[514.587140] [1473]: Failed to remount ´/´read-only: Device or resource busy
[514.593981] systemd-shutdown[1]: Failed to finalize file systems, ignoring.

What does this mean and what can I do?

This means something is still writting/using the disk and systemd cannot shut down, this is a safety feature, if this didn't happen before try to find the culbrit of software which causes this

I have Solus installed on four family laptops and they all have that last one when shutting down.
"systemd-shutdown[1]: Failed to finalize file systems, ignoring."
Not sure what causes it though. 🙁

yeah, I have this on my 2008 Athlon64 X2 that I'm using as a media PC. it also has an SSD upgrade - I forget if it was doing that before.
