Hi all,
I will preface with : I don't know if this is the right place to ask/talk about this.
I have been using Solus for over a year now. No issue, Super smooth. Just works.
I don't do much though. Browse, game through steam and game through wine using Lutris.
All is well and work well.
The following question will relate to this.
There is a game I play using wine/lutris. For that game I set virtual desktop and capture mouse.
This way, that game is played in windowed full screen and the mouse gets captured correctly.
Friday, I wanted to give Fedora a try to see what was new and to play a bit with it.
One of the thing I tried was that game using the same configuration under Lutris/wine.
Here is what I had that was strange. Everything worked perfectly fine in game.
But when I alt-tab from the game to browse the web for instance ( or any other action outside the game)
The game still register the mouse input which is annoying and click in place i would not want to.
Found a reddit post of someone that may decribe better the issue :
Saturday for fun I decided to try Manjaro and got the same behavior.
Tried Ubuntu and PopOS and got the same behavior while alt-tab'ed.
Sunday, decided to do a fresh install of Solus. And all is working perfectly fine and I can alt-tab out and all is well.
No mouse input registered in game while alt-tab.
My question is as follow(Sorry for long wall of text/explanation).
What does Solus do different on a fresh install of wine/lutris that could explain this?
I am super happy for it and want to learn more why that could be.
Hope I am making sense.
