Optimize VLC for video

Hello

I tried to play a 300mb mp4 video, but the video is choppy. I have the sound but the image does not change.

I have read several tutorials on google and some say enable hardware acceleration and others say they shouldn't. I did several tests, without success.

I tested mpv and smplayer, it's smoother.

My config

Processor: Intel Celeron N4000
Graphics Card: Intel UHD Graphics 600
Memory: 4GO

Did you try others setting in VLC.
I need to change my output video to make VLC working. Default automatic setting make VLC crash. Xvideo XCB is ok for my laptop.
