KDE Apps in Budgie

Recommended? Never installed KDE stuff because I did not know enough. Same with MATE apps.
I know both are written in two different languages.
Is X/X11 the common denominator that lets KDE run anywhere then?

Reason for asking: I was exploring the Financial Software options in repo and most of the programs are KDE apps (the ones I like, that is).

I know it's a dumb questions, but are there rules of thumb about blending DE apps?

Like kmymoney for example?
Just install it, it will run fine. Sometimes they have issues with the theming, that is all.

Lucien_Lachance Every KDE nightmare I ever had was because I foolishly installed Baloo where it proceeds to take budgie and throttle it to where it becomes uber-sluggish, compulsively indexing several GBs of data over and over and over. That's when I ws trying out Nautilus replacment systems...-I like your Rule. edit/spell
