VLC 3.0.12?

VLC's !s menu bar doesn't seem to work right, the options comes up when I click something, but it is just solid black? I can't see what it says

Is your system fully up-to-date sudo eopkg up -y ?
Which DE do you use ?

Exactly the same problem. The control panel freezes when playing in full-screen mode. A completely updated system in the MATE edition.

By now, I have already removed vlc and installed totem.

Can't open mate terminal also, not sure whyt No error, just doesn't open.

Plus all the windows seem huge/

I can not shrink them only expand.
