Cover art (thumbnails) of local music - Budgie's archives

Hi, guys.

First, i'm so happy with this distro... really ends my distrohopping !!! Playing soooo many games with Proton, it's so nice. Usable and stable system with RX 5700 XT and amdgpu drivers.

I have a question: how can enable and view cover art or thumbnails of music? I only see default icon...

If you have that, then the media itself doesn't have the artwork defined as part of the ID3v2 embedded image extension, or deadbeef doesn't expose the album art over MPRIS. You should try an ID3 editor like easytag (available in the repo) to set the artwork, as well as another media player like Rhythmbox.

Do you see the album cover art in your favorite music player?
