Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone has build the v4l2sink plugin for OBS Studio. I'm trying to use OBS to set up a virtual camera for Zoom, etc. Is that plugin available, or is there another way to do it that I can't find? I notice that the v4l2-loopback module is available and i can modprobe it. Also, v4l2-ctl is able to see my webcam. So... how can I use OBS to make a virtual camera for Zoom?

I can't speak for the zoom part, but installing v4l2oopback-current (assuming you use the default kernel that comes with Solus) will make available the virtual camera option in OBS Studio. After this, you can start the virtual camera, which does the modprobe followed by starting it. After this, you can use it in another application. I just tested it using a webrtc video testing site and it worked just fine when I selected the OBS Virtual Camera camera device.

That worked! Apparently I did install the right packages. I restarted my computer and it came right up.
