Upgrading Wifi Card

I'm upgrading my current WiFi/Bluetooth card from the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 (slow connection, inconsistent, unreliable) to an Intel AX200. I don't know if the firmware for the new card is needed or not, but I've downloaded the tarball from the Intel. Where do I unzip the firmware to? Is this even necessary?
The new card should arrive Thursday, I'm just trying to make sure I have all my ducks in a row so when I put the laptop back together and boot it up, I'll be able to have working internet (no RJ45 port).

Following manual cp iwlwifi-cc-a0-46.ucode /lib/firmware thats action just a copy microcode in firmware directory, but idk, mb that's doesn't working

Case: my wi-fi card doesn't working with new kernel, but i find driver on github by enthusiast for kernel 5.9

George unless I'm missing something or just a fool (most likely) I couldn't find /lib/firmware. I'm probably just not looking in the right places though.
