I downloaded and installed Battletech 1.9.1 through minigalaxy. As it was starting up and went through the developer screen logos, the game suddenly went "black" with a "press esc to skip" on the upper left hand corner of the screen, but nothing happens. I had to manually power down and restart my Macbook Pro to exit out of it.
After doing a quick search, I noticed there was a "fix (https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/battletech-crash-on-startup-linux.1413661/)" this problem, by going into "BATTLETECH/BattleTech_Data/Plugins/x86_64/libc.so.6" and removing "libc.so.6", but doing this actually made Solus unusable (i.e., login loop screen, CLI mode 'ALT + control + F2' rendered useless). Luckily, I was able to revert back by using a live solus iso usb by using gnome disk to move "libc.so.6" back to where it originally was. If I had deleted the said file, I can just imagine the huge headache of potentially reinstalling solus. TL/DR Is there a reason why "libc.so.6" makes solus unusable when removed from a game folder?
