VirtualBox Win10 Guest not starting due to failing USB Extension

I'm running Win10 as a guest on VirtualBox since long with USB enabled.
Since the last upgrade with Kernel 5.10, the VM does not start anymore unless I disable the USB-Controller.
I have the same issue on a one year old Ryzen5 HP laptop as well as on a ten year old AMD PC.

Error message is:

For the virtual machine xyz the session could not be opened.

Failed to load R0 module /usr/lib64/virtualbox/ExtensionPacks/Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack/linux.amd64/VBoxEhciR0.r0: RTLdrGetBits failed (VERR_SYMBOL_VALUE_TOO_BIG).

Failed to load ring-0 module 'VBoxEhciR0.r0' for device 'usb-xhci' (VERR_SYMBOL_VALUE_TOO_BIG).

Error code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)

Has anyone observed the same issue?

This thread is about the same issue.
They suggest to roll back to VirtualBox 6.1.10 as a work-around.

Open VirtualBox and Check for Updates, then there will be an update. Install and everything will be fine.

I was under the impression that the Extension Pack is also coming with the Solus installation, but that's not true.
My extension pack was still at 6.1.0. I must have installed it manually back then, but I didn't remember.
In VirtualBox Manager I selected File -> Check for Updates ...
The first popup said that I'm already running the latest version of VirtualBox.
Then there was a second popup saying that the Extension Pack is outdated.
So I followed the options to download and install.

Have you check the VirtualBox and extension pack version? Both of them must be in same version.
