Wrong keyboard layout during disk encryption passphrase entry

I just installed Solus Budgie with full disk encryption on my HP EliteBook 840 laptop with a french keyboard (AZERTY).
At startup, the keyboard is set as QWERTY, so when I am prompted for the passphrase to unencrypt the disk, I have to type it as if it were a QWERTY keyboard. Once this step is completed and the Solus session screen appears the keyboard is correctly set to french as I configured it.
How to solve this in Solus please?

I have just installed Solus on a DELL laptop with a French keyboard and encountering the same issue.

There is a bug in the installer.

The workaround is to set the keymap manually afterwards:
Create the file /etc/kernel/cmdline.d/50_keymap.conf with vconsole.keymap=YOURKEYMAP.
For YOURKEYMAP use a valid keymap.
A list of all existing keymaps you get with localectl list-keymaps

After that running sudo clr-boot-manager update to update all Solus boot entries.
