Hey guys,
I think I stuffed up my solus boot. I am having boot failure issues. I am on a Thinkpad x230 with iGPU
It initially seemed to coincide with either a) deleting linux-current (I still had linux-lts) or b) adding nomodeset to boot options
Next boot = blank screen with flashing cursor
Entered TTY with crtl+alt+f2
In the terminal here;
I have usedclr-boot-manager update
multiple times
I have re-downloaded and rebooted intolinux-current
(did the same for LTS)
I ransudo journalctl -b
-this initially flagged that there was an error due to nomodeset
-this error when away after deleting and redownloading kernels
-next error is that lightdm does not start a display manager
I have run sudo systemctl restart lightdm
without it helping either
I have also rolled back updates going back in time to last night but this did not help
I have run sudo eopkg up
multiple times
I have even deleted lightdm
, then resinstalled it, including slick-greeter
and lightdm-gtk-greeter
Below is the output from sudo systemctl status lightdm
