Some testing if anyone is interested
gdm.service modification and display-manager change
If anyone wants to test removing the ExecStartPre
from their gdm.service
and doing the following command instead, would like to know if this fixes anything:
sudo ln -sv gdm.service /usr/lib/systemd/system/display-manager.service
Then reboot and see if that fixes it. If not, you can remove the display-manager.service
, it's something I'm fixing in the gdm package update anyways
10-amdgpu.conf modification
Do sudo nano /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-amdgpu.conf
and add the following to the top of the file:
Section "Files"
ModulePath "/usr/lib64/xorg/modules"
EndSection
Make sure you don't have the ExecStartPre in gdm service, reboot.
10-radeon.conf modification
Do sudo nano /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-radeon.conf
and add the following to the top of the file:
Section "Files"
ModulePath "/usr/lib64/xorg/modules"
EndSection
Make sure you don't have the ExecStartPre in gdm service, reboot.
