Hi,
after latest update(s) this week (12/2020), when I installed all the requested Solus updates, all things worked as usual.
Then I tried to access my Discord app, which worked quite well before, and found that my microfone is no longer working. I'm using it on my front input device at my case, that is connected with my Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0 mainboard. I checked the input device, but I wasn't able to choose one. Then I checked the audio devices setup at Solus, but it was missing there too, while the rear-panel device was still found. Probably the driver unit was removed or broken, can't say.
As I'm using a SSD-switch I can easily change between different OS on the very same machine and tested with Windows 7, where the audio device worked, even with Discord. Tests with other Linux OS' (ArcoLinux, Manjaro) showed pretty much the same result as with Solus OS, so this points toward a driver issue, probably a kernel issue to me.
The rear panel audio worked as desired on all tested OS'.
Any idea how to solve this?
