Installing Lighworks on Solus
First of all I'm so happy, because lightworks and davinci resolve where missing in this gorgeous linux distribution, and I've tried pop_os! wich is ok but Solus Is far greater for me. For Budgie, continuous dark theme, rapidity, and power consuption!
So Based on the article here who explain how ton install from a .deb
pakage
https://discuss.getsol.us/d/8464-installing-deb-packages-on-solus-linux
So has it is well explain I sudo cp the files in the archive and pasted where it should belong.
I've installed the free version of lightworks
when I tried to run the program from the Budgie menu nothing appened, but when I ran on the terminal:
$ lightworks
I get this answer:
/usr/lib/lightworks/ntcardvt: error while loading shared libraries: libCg.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
so I search the life libCg.so : it appears to be here
https://developer.nvidia.com/cg-toolkit-download
after downloading it I copied in the archive the 2 files in /./usr/lib64
libCg.so
and libCgGL.so
first I've pasted in /usr/lib64
but get any result
then I've tried in /usr/lib/lightworks
and it worked !
I'm using a Lenovo Thinkpad P1 gen 2 with nvidia quadro T2000 for the specs. If that matter ;-)
