roshanmelvin in general nothing really, your system should be working as long as you do not do any changes on the hardware and software side.
Should you install new software from the repo, you will have to pull in newer updated versions of libs/rundeps etc for the installed software because it got built against these new versions which it needs to have to be functional, this situation will introduce issues and bugs on your out dated system, because software got build against the older version which can lead to a not working system and all we will say to you is update it to get it back.
Solus is a rolling distro so we suggest you keep your system more or less up to date
