Willdrick what's your USB sound card setup? (+ Do you use the cable that came with them? + If so, did you have any cable breakage issue?)
I love my QC35's, if anyone happens to also love AAA Batteries and is able to get a hold of some QC25's I'd advise doing that. Concerning their functionality as Headphones + The noise cancellation, they are the same, as the QC35 I & II, yet the 25's are 'dumb' - at least if one follows the edict of popular opinion and(orequal) advertising).
I used the QC25, from the month they were released to the time the 35 I's were released, which I'm still using. (Sure the II's + 'google/apple assistant button' - not to forget about that courageous technical leap to, somewhere..)
So.. Bose released a 'fancy' App.
Since some update within the first year the QC35 I's (same software as 35 II's, hence same issue or were those socially unable to distance out of the box..?) they would not want to distance themselves from my connected device just as confidently as they used to..
I may be mistaking, however I used to be able to walk through my entire apartment without problems. The apartment did not expand in real sqm terms, thus the update is what broke my heart.. They now won't even let me distance a connected device across half of my apartment (which used to have full coverage). They also never used to create break-offs of connections, where one hears only sound artefacts.. This is not how things should be, even when ignoring that they got 100currency more expensive with each release.
If the price premium is for the 'smart', then may I have 'dumb' please, thanks a lot!
(Is anyone capable of hacking the old software back on there btw?)
For desktop use (without dedicated audio interface), I recently bought the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 OHM Closed Back & let me tell you;
there is a great truth, which Beyerdynamic discovered and the folks at Sennheiser and all the other 'shIttier' headphone makers have to eventually be made to understand.
There is no point in changing shIt for no reason, if you made something truly great - what a miracle! Now, don't touch this!
(It so happened, that I ordered Sennheiser Products for a different use-case that same week, so I was lucky to experience both customers services that week, and it so happened that Sennheiser till today did not make that thing do what it promised, Beyerdynamic delivered and delivers - I'm still stunned that nobody thinks of them shopping for headphones, aside from professional studio users, yet there's apparently a good reason why those who know what they are talking about always only talk about Beyerdynamic headphones.)
The funny thing is they've been making the DT77 Pro since 1985, they were and are amazing & You can get all three (models) in that picture for the total cost of 1xBose-scared-of-social-distancing-somewhat-wireless-35-II-'smart'
..'dumb' please & thanks a lot!
