wifi adapter help?

i have a netgear ac1900 wifi adapter as i dual booted solus alongside windows 10, is there any way i can install drivers for it, im a floor above my wifi adapter and cant drill a hole in my floor to run an ethernet cable through

I have no knowledge of your wifi adapter or available drivers for it, but under the same circumstances I used to use a couple of A/C powerline carrier devices to reach the first floor media machine from the second floor router. The better ones are reliable and fast, and require no holes drilled through the floor. Perhaps it would be a solution for you as well?

jzks The AC1900 is based on the Realtek 8814AU chipset and is NOT supported on Linux.

jzks Search Amazon. There's some WiFi USB devices that are supposedly designed to run under Linux and they're not that expensive if my memory serves me well.

jzks You might be able to compile an unofficial driver for it, but we don't really support that. I think most people in your position would be more likely to invest in a cheap wifi dongle that's know to work on Linux.

For one data point, the last one I bought was about $14USD at Amazon. It handles 600Mbps mode and both speeds, 2.4 and 5.0 MHz.

You should be able to get one inexpensively from wherever you buy your computing supplies.
